Fluidized Bed Links:
TUV Industry
Service. TUV provides engineering,
testing and construction services for the fluidized bed industry. I have worked with these guys for 20 years
(in Pyropower and FW) and they do a great job.
They are located in San Diego near the old Pyropower and FW
offices.
Industrial
Design Services, Inc. These guys
provide design/drafting services and have worked on many fluidized bed
(circulating and otherwise) projects.
They do quite a bit of work for Foster Wheeler and other fluidized bed
manufacturers.

Pennsylvania and West Virginia who use CFB’s to burn waste coal and produce
power.

ASM. They have a mail group dealing
with thermal spray coatings that the public can subscribe to.

If you need tube shields in a hurry, they can probably get them to you.
Corrosion and Protection Centre. This group is part of the University of Manchester Institute of
Science and Technology. They are doing
some work on erosion and corrosion of alloys and coatings. The website lists publications of the last
few years as well as brief descriptions of some of their ongoing research
projects. They might be a useable
resource to help solve some unusual or persistent wastage problems. Just a thought.
NACE. This is a site for corrosion engineers. They have some useful information if you
want to get detailed. They also have
two mail groups that are open to the public.
One is specifically for corrosion and the other is for coatings.

material flow problems these are the guys to talk to.

Technologies. These guys are
whizzes with a scanning electron microscope.
They can provide lots of help when trying to determine why your boiler
is fouling.

lb/h boilers at the University of North Carolina, burning coal, but also
capable of nearly 100%MCR firing natural gas or No. 6 oil.
Sustainable Energy.
This is the links page of a website with an incredible list of links to
information on sustainable/alternate energy.
